she walks across the room
looks out of her window
sounds gently tapping
rooms, roof & walls
staring out at the haze
features of white & gray
on the skyscape
the puddles in the parking lot
heart full of cold southern rain
gentle sound of thunder in the background
as she listens to my half of
rainy day women
shapes of clouds
deep into the night
she sees it through the porchlight
you let go of the ones you love best
self-control,let it roll
all the waiting
tired of being alone
she sheds many tears
her emotions,getting on in years
no more dysfunctional relationships
she can't stand the guilt
a room full of rain & guilt
her flower does wilt
chasing that old-time feeling
when she was good
how did it come to this
talking about the rain
always back to the rain
lonely rain
